The Foundation’s support to Hope Sakwa Christian Academy in Sakwa, Kenya continues to be a priority. During the past fourteen years, the school has grown from twenty-three students to over four hundred today. Christ Church in partnership with Hope Africa Ministries has been a major supporter of the school during this time. Foundation fund raising efforts were completed to support efforts to help the community provision a ‘bore hole’ (well) that will deliver clean water to the village and the school. This is part of the initiative to work with the village to help the school become a self-sustaining operation.

Bore Hole Progress! There was exiting progress this past few years (spring 2022) as the project team and contractors led by Christ Church and funded by the Foundation drilled some 150 meters to reach an aquifer and then hundreds more meters to assess its depth. The results are wonderful and we praise God for guiding the team through this phase of the project. The photo shows the drill team when they hit water. The school and town are very excited and the next steps are plumbing, flow control, and storage. Stay tuned for more updates here!
