In October 2021, The Branches at Christ Church, a group home was launched to serve adults with special needs. The real estate is owned by the Foundation and the group home is currently a partnership between the Christ-Ed Home Health Services, Christ Church Inclusive Ministry, and the Foundation. The group home serves up to 4 adults. Christ-Ed Home Health Services is a licensed provider of care services for adults with disabilities in Fairfax County.
This incredible project was made possible through contributions to the Foundation totaling more than $300,000 in cash and the work of more than fifty volunteers contributing more then one thousand hours of work. The Foundation’s role is to steward the long-term care and maintenance of the real estate and to ensure its viability as a home and mission asset of Christ Church for years to come.
